DESCRIPTION:The Oregon Department of Energy will host a webinar on offshore
  wind basics on January 22 from 2-3 p.m. The intended audience for this we
 binar is decision-makers\, energy industry practitioners\, utilities and t
 hose knowledgeable about renewable energy.\n\nThe webinar will feature two
  presentations:\n\nBruce Hamilton\, Navigant Consulting\, will present a s
 ummary of the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2014 Offshore Wind Market and 
 Economic Analysis Report\, coordinated by Navigant. The presentation will 
 discuss the state of the offshore wind sector internationally\, in the Atl
 antic\, policy developments and an economic impact case study.\n\nChris El
 kinton\, DNV-GL\, will present an overview of offshore wind technologies\,
  including turbines\, anchoring and mooring\, power cabling and the develo
 pment trajectory for deep-water floating wind.\n\nRebecca O’Neil of the
