The demand is there, but the wind is just beginning its technical offshore deployment. Stormy conditions and changing winds, enormous waves, salty air and temperature changes – for wind turbines on the high seas, the environmental conditions are real challenge. The water depth of 30 m to 40 m and the far reach of the coast provide problems for developers.
