DESCRIPTION:Vattenfall was granted a Development Consent Order by the Natio
 nal Planning Inspectorate in February 2013 giving Vattenfall the necessary
  permission to extend the existing Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm. At it
 s maximum installed capacity\, Kentish Flats Extension (“KFE”) will be
  capable of generating another 49.5 MW of additional electricity (the tota
 l annual electricity needs of up to 42\,194 UK households*). Vattenfall pl
 an to install 15 3.3MW turbines. Although Vattenfal has consent to instal
 l up to 17 turbines\, this number was reduced as higher rated turbines wil
 l be used. The Extension will be located 7.8km from the shore and cover ap
