DESCRIPTION:This webinar will review industry experience and case studies t
 hat illustrate these methods and will discuss guidelines and procedures th
 at are available to support their adoption and implementation.  Power cur
 ve tests compare wind resource with the power generated by a wind turbine 
 using that resource. They are necessary for checking the performance of wi
 nd turbines. The challenge associated with conducting these tests offshore
  arises due to the relatively high cost of acquiring the necessary wind da
 ta compared to onshore circumstances. The high cost offshore can mean test
 s are not conducted even though\n• relatively novel turbine technology\,
 \n• high levels of investment and\n• less well understood conditions\n
