 gy\, with more wave and tidal stream devices installed than the rest of th
 e world combined. This leading position is built on an established marine 
 engineering heritage. The UK has created ground-breaking testing facilitie
 s\, and the best marine energy resource in Europe.\n\nWave and tidal energ
 y combined has the potential to deliver around 20 per cent of the UK’s c
 urrent electricity needs which equates to an installed capacity of around 
 30–50GW. Commercial viability is just around the corner and the UK is we
 ll placed to capture a significant share of the global market\, forecast t
 o be worth £50 billion by 2050.\n\nNow in its 12th year\, the industry’
 s premier wave and tidal energy event will attract 500 delegates and 50 ex
